Jollibee’s “Bida Best” Campaign Shines the Spotlight on World-Class Filipino Talent
Jollibee has always believed in the greatness of the Filipino spirit. From its roots as a small food outlet to becoming a global fast-food giant, the brand continues to celebrate what it means to be proudly Pinoy. And now, with its latest campaign “Bida Best, Bida Pinoy,” Jollibee is putting the spotlight on exceptional Filipinos who have made waves on the world stage.
More than just a marketing push, “Bida Best, Bida Pinoy” is a heartfelt tribute. It’s a movement that uplifts the stories of Filipinos who have shown the world what we’re made of: talent, grit, creativity, and heart.
The campaign kicked off with a special event hosted by Gretchen Ho at Whitespace Manila. The room was filled with pride as Jollibee unveiled its new set of ambassadors, eight inspiring individuals and groups whose achievements have brought honor to the country.
Among the ambassadors are:
- Pia Wurtzbach, who became Miss Universe 2015 and has used her platform to support humanitarian causes.
- Carlos Yulo, a world champion gymnast and a double Olympic gold medalist.
- Hidilyn Diaz, the first Filipino Olympic gold medalist and a true symbol of determination.
- EJ Obiena, who continues to break barriers as a top-tier pole vaulter.
- Dr. Reina Reyes, the astrophysicist who famously proved Einstein right, putting Filipino brilliance on the global map.
- Quiccs Maiquez, an artist and toy designer whose work highlights Pinoy street culture around the world.
- SIBOL, the Philippine national esports team and MLBB world champions.
- UPeepz, the dance group that has taken Filipino creativity to global hip-hop stages.
Each of them shared their stories through a panel session called “Bida Best Talks,” where they opened up about their journeys, complete with struggles, wins, and the lessons learned along the way.
Pia Wurtzbach spoke about chasing dreams despite the odds and said her victory was for every Filipino dreamer. Quiccs encouraged young creatives to embrace their culture and authenticity, saying these are what make their voices stand out.
Hidilyn Diaz made it clear that her success wasn’t just about winning medals. For her, it’s about inspiring others, giving back, and showing that Filipinos can shine in any sport. “What matters most is helping others, inspiring the youth, and loving your country,” she shared.
Dr. Reina Reyes also had a powerful message: “Be curious, be bold. Dream as big as the universe,” she said, recalling how her parents supported her passion for science and how she hopes to do the same for others.
Even SIBOL and UPeepz, who represent newer fields like gaming and dance, shared how hard work, teamwork, and belief in one’s identity helped them rise to global acclaim.
Jollibee’s VP for Marketing, Dorothy Dee-Ching, summed it up best by saying that just like the brand, many of these ambassadors started small but rose to greatness. And through their stories, we’re reminded that being Filipino means being joyful, resilient, and undeniably world-class.
Jollibee’s “Bida Best” campaign is more than just an ad. It’s a celebration of heart, pride, and the unstoppable spirit of the Filipino.
