Ahtisa Manalo has officially captured the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 crown, making her the country’s next representative on the global stage. She will compete in the 74th Miss Universe pageant, which is set to take place in Thailand this November.
The coronation night, held at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 2, was filled with glitz and excitement. Ahtisa, representing Quezon Province, stood out among 65 other candidates, winning over both the judges and the audience with her poise, charm, and experience.
Her victory isn't a surprise to many. Pageant fans may remember that she placed second runner-up in last year's MUPH competition. Shortly after, she competed in the first-ever Miss Cosmo pageant and secured a spot in the Top 10. Her resume also includes a memorable run in Miss International 2018, where she ended as first runner-up.
This win makes her the sixth titleholder crowned under the Miss Universe Philippines organization, which has been led by former Miss Universe finalist Ariella Arida. Ahtisa now follows in the footsteps of Chelsea Manalo, who brought pride to the country last year by being named the first Miss Universe Asia.
The coronation night was even more special with the presence of reigning Miss Universe Victoria Theilvig from Denmark, along with other international queens, showing support and celebrating beauty and diversity on stage.
As expected, the competition was tough, with a strong Top 6 that included Chelsea Fernandez (Sultan Kudarat), Yllana Aduana (Siniloan, Laguna), Winwyn Marquez (Muntinlupa), Katrina Llegado (Taguig), and Gabriella Carballo (Cebu City). These women also showcased talent, elegance, and confidence, making the night unforgettable.
For Ahtisa, this win is more than just a crown. It’s a return to the spotlight and a new chapter in her journey. With her track record and passion, she’s ready to make the Philippines proud once again.
The Philippines has long been known as a powerhouse in the pageant world, with four Miss Universe titles under its belt, thanks to Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray. Ahtisa is now aiming to join that prestigious list.
As we cheer her on towards Thailand, there’s no doubt that she’ll carry the country’s flag with grace and strength.
