In his recent upload, Piolo recreated a sweet moment from the K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines, where Kim Seon-ho’s character, Chung-seob, gets emotional seeing his bride in her wedding dress. In the scene, Seon-ho clutches his chest, winks, and smiles — a gesture that quickly became a viral trend, with TikTok users worldwide copying the adorable move to show love or admiration.
Fans couldn’t get enough of Piolo’s version, flooding the comments with praise. One fan even said, "Now there are two of us smiling."

When Life Gives You Tangerines is about a lively girl and a determined boy whose friendship on an island turns into a lifelong story of love and struggles. Kim Seon-ho plays Park Chung-seob, opposite IU’s character, Yang Geum Myeong.
On another note, Piolo has been busy with his acting projects. He recently starred in the Kapamilya series Pamilya Sagrado. In an interview with Tao Po, he shared how he immediately said yes to the show because of its strong storyline.
At this stage in his career, Piolo said he’s eager to take on a mix of roles. "I still feel the same excitement and nervousness I had when I started," he said. For him, shifting from a matinee idol to tackling more serious and darker roles is a natural and exciting part of his journey. "It’s amazing how, as you get older, new opportunities for different characters keep coming," he added.
