P-pop sensation BINI is feeling all the love as their new single "Pantropiko" continues to make waves.
Not long after it dropped, "Pantropiko" landed a spot on Spotify’s RADAR Philippines playlist, climbing all the way to No. 2. It also snagged the No. 1 spot on iTunes Philippines' Top Songs Chart. Over on Spotify's Viral Philippines chart, the song jumped from No. 76 to No. 35 — proof that fans can’t get enough of it.
Jhoanna, BINI’s leader, admitted they were a little anxious about the release timing. "Pantropiko" has a bright, summery feel, and they launched it right as the Christmas season was kicking in. "We were worried it might not fit because everyone’s into Christmas songs around that time," Jhoanna shared. "But we were so surprised and happy when we kept getting updates that it was rising on the charts!"
BINI — made up of Colet, Maloi, Mikha, Sheena, Stacey, Jhoanna, Gwen, and Aiah — is overwhelmed by the warm response from their fans, who continue to show unwavering support.
Jhoanna also took a moment to thank R&B singer Denise Julia. A video of Jhoanna singing along and improvising lyrics to Denise’s song "Lackin’" recently went viral, and Denise even joined in the fun. "It was just a random moment that Sheena caught on video, and she typed out the lyrics I made up," Jhoanna laughed. She also mentioned how much Stacey especially loves Denise Julia, and shared their hope of teaming up with her one day.
The excitement doesn’t stop there — BINI is already cooking up new music for 2024, including a brand-new EP that’s currently in the works. Fans have a lot to look forward to!
