BTS Sets Manila Stop for 2027 World Tour, Ending a 10-Year Wait
Filipino ARMYs finally have something big to look forward to. BTS is officially coming back to the Philippines as part of their next world tour, with Manila shows scheduled for March 13 and 14, 2027.
The announcement came from BigHit Music through social media, where the agency shared an early list of tour cities and dates. Manila was confirmed as one of the stops, although fans will still need to wait for more details. Live Nation Philippines later said that the venue and ticket information will be revealed at a later time.
This tour will begin in South Korea with a three-night concert in Goyang this April, before traveling across Asia and continuing to Europe, North America, South America, and Australia. BigHit also mentioned that more dates are still coming, including concerts in Japan and the Middle East.
The world tour is tied to BTS’ upcoming fifth studio album, which is set to drop on March 20. This will be the group’s first album in almost four years, following a long pause in group activities while the members completed their required military service in South Korea.
For local fans, the Manila stop is extra meaningful. The last time BTS performed as a full group in the country was in 2017 during their Wings tour. While J-Hope returned in 2025 for his solo concerts, this 2027 show marks the long-awaited full-group comeback on a Philippine stage.
BTS last toured extensively with the Love Yourself tour, which ended in 2019. Plans for a 2020 world tour were canceled due to the pandemic, leading instead to the Permission to Dance On Stage concerts in 2021 and 2022 before the group stepped back.
Since debuting in 2013, BTS has grown into one of the biggest names in music worldwide. They hold records on Spotify, topped major Billboard charts, and built a reputation that goes beyond music. Over the years, they have also taken part in global conversations, including speaking at the United Nations and meeting US leaders to discuss anti-Asian hate.
