‘Sang’gre’ Drops 11-Minute Sneak Peek

Fans of fantasy and Filipino mythology have something big to look forward to as GMA’s Sang’gre just released an 11-minute primer that dives deep into the story’s core. The video is more than just a teaser, it’s a full-on introduction to the new generation of heroes and villains, and it sets the stage for what looks like an epic battle for the fate of Encantadia.

At the center of the story is Mitena, played by Rhian Ramos, who was born an Ivtre, a soul or spirit that was never meant to be born. Rejected by her own parents and left to suffer in a prison cell, she grows up filled with pain and anger, vowing to bring destruction to the entire world of Encantadia. “I will destroy all of Encantadia,” she declares, revealing her mission for vengeance.

While chaos brews in the magical realm, the human world has its own story. Terra (Bianca Umali), a young woman with powers, lives among regular people while quietly working as a local heroine. Seeking guidance, she turns to Pirena (Glaiza De Castro), who tells her that her destiny lies in leading the fight to save Encantadia.

Joining Terra are Flamarra (Faith Da Silva), Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), and Deia (Angel Guardian), each beginning their journey as protectors of the realm. The video even teases a powerful face-off between Mitena and the new Sang’gres, where both sides show they’re ready to wield their powers and brilyante in an all-out magical showdown.

But Sang’gre isn’t just about action. The video introduces a rich cast of characters across three different realms, the human world, Mine-A-Ve, and the legendary Encantadia itself. Familiar faces from the 2016 Encantadia reboot are returning, including Glaiza de Castro as Pirena, Gabbi Garcia as Alena, Sanya Lopez as Danaya, and Kylie Padilla as Amihan.

The human world cast includes Manilyn Reynes, Boboy Garovillo, Benjie Paras, and Sherilyn Reyes. Over in Mine-A-Ve, new characters are portrayed by Gabby Eigenmann, Bianca Manalo, Jon Lucas, and others. The Encantadia realm remains as majestic and mysterious as ever, with appearances from Solenn Heussaff, Mikee Quintos, Kate Valdez, and more. Notably, the late Ricky Davao has a special role as Governor Emil Salvador.

With the premiere set for June 16 at 8 p.m. on GMA Prime, the excitement is definitely building. Whether you’re a long-time Encantadia fan or new to the world of Sang’gres, this fantasy saga looks like it’s going to be one for the books.
