Lindsay Custodio Takes Legal Action Against Estranged Husband

Actress and former OPM singer Lindsay Custodio has taken a bold step toward justice by filing a case against her estranged husband, Frederick Cale, under the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (RA 9262).

According to her legal representative, Atty. Hazel Meking, Lindsay recently filed the complaint after realizing the gravity of the abuse she allegedly experienced during their marriage.

She revealed that Lindsay suffered multiple forms of abuse, including sexual, psychological, verbal, emotional, and even economic. The trauma reportedly took a toll on Lindsay’s mental health, leading to depression and the need for psychiatric treatment.

“Now that the case has been filed, we’re hoping the justice system will help bring her some peace and closure,” said Meking.

Just a few months earlier, in March, TV host Boy Abunda mentioned in his program Fast Talk with Boy Abunda that Lindsay had flown to Cebu. That trip was in connection with a cyber libel case filed against her by Cale.

Cases like this serve as a reminder that healing often begins with speaking out. No one deserves to suffer in silence, and legal action can be the first step toward recovery and empowerment.
