Coco Martin Hints at Shocking Deaths and Bigger Action in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo

Coco Martin is not slowing down anytime soon as he takes FPJ’s Batang Quiapo to a more intense and political level. In a live interview with TV Patrol on June 16, the Primetime King teased fans with what’s ahead, explosive action scenes and the shocking exit of some beloved characters.

Coco was seen on set directing a major fight sequence featuring co-stars Jake Cuenca, Andrea Brillantes, and McCoy De Leon. Though he kept major plot twists under wraps, he gave one big clue: the next episodes will have non-stop confrontations and surprises that will change Tanggol’s story forever.

“There’s no pause anymore. We worked hard on every scene, shot for days, and prepared carefully. All the secrets will come out and you’ll notice characters slowly disappearing,” Coco said during the interview.

Fans recently witnessed Tanggol’s transformation into a rising politician as he kicks off his campaign to become Manila’s next Mayor. The show even dropped a fresh theme song and poster that shows Coco’s character standing tall like a hero for change.

Action fans got a sneak peek of Tanggol taking on a gang alone inside an abandoned building, proving that Coco still delivers gritty fight scenes that keep viewers glued to their screens. And it’s working, the show racked up a whopping 11 million episode views on Kapamilya Online Live just for the episodes aired on June 12 and 13.

Batang Quiapo is also reaching a wider audience than ever. The hit series, which carries the international title Gangs of Manila, is airing in 41 countries across Africa. Coco and co-star Julia Montes are even heading there soon for ABS-CBN’s first-ever African fan event, Kapamilya Live in Kenya, on June 28.

For those craving more twists, fights, and shocking exits, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo airs weeknights at 8 PM on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and Kapamilya Online Live. Overseas fans can catch the show via The Filipino Channel (TFC) on cable and IPTV.
