Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray couldn’t help but chuckle when asked about her recent social media interaction with Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto. Fans were quick to spot that the two had followed each other on Instagram last June 4, 2025, sparking a wave of excitement online.

Supporters even came up with a playful nickname for the unexpected pair: “ViCat,” a blend of their first names. Many netizens gushed over how they could be a perfect match, pointing out that both are currently single.

Catriona, who is no longer engaged to Sam Milby, admitted during an interview with News5’s MJ Marfori on June 12 that she didn’t see the follow-back as anything serious. Laughing at the buzz, she said she was surprised at how fans read into it.

According to her, it was simply a mutual follow. She clarified that there were no private messages exchanged with Mayor Vico, emphasizing that people shouldn’t overthink it.
