Richards Hits 61KM on His Bike, Opens Up About Personal Growth
Alden Richards just took his love for fitness to a new level by completing a 61-kilometer bike ride, his longest so far. The actor proudly shared his cycling milestone on Instagram, along with photos of himself mid-ride. For someone who’s been passionate about staying fit through workouts and running, this ride was a clear sign of how much he's pushing himself physically and mentally.
While Alden’s cycling feat is impressive, what truly resonates is the personal story behind his fitness journey. In a past interview with Nelson Canlas on "24 Oras," Alden got candid about what he went through in 2024, describing it as one of the hardest years of his life. He admitted that he had been so focused on helping others that he forgot to take care of himself. Eventually, it left him feeling emotionally drained and broken. It was a wake-up call, one that led him to focus more on self-care and balance.
Despite the tough year, Alden continues to shine professionally. He was recently honored as the 2024 Box Office King by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines for his hit movie Hello, Love, Again, co-starring Kathryn Bernardo, who took home the title of Box Office Queen.
Now, Alden is stepping into a new challenge as the host of GMA’s upcoming dance competition show Stars on the Floor. Not only will he be hosting, but he’ll also be hitting the stage with his own dance performances.
Whether it’s cycling across long distances or pushing through emotional hurdles, Alden shows that growth happens when you keep moving forward, even when it’s tough.
