Lorna Tolentino Clears the Air About Engagement Rumors with Lito Lapid

In a chat with writer Dindo Balares, who shared their conversation on Facebook, Lorna put the rumors to rest. She explained that the clips making rounds online are actually scenes from a music video, not a personal engagement.

The video in question is from Star Music and features the song “Love Story Ko,” performed by Fana and produced by Jamie Rivera. It was released on YouTube back in February 2024. One thumbnail even shows Tolentino sitting on Lapid’s lap while he opens a ring box, which likely fueled the gossip. But it’s all part of the storyline for the song.

Although the two actors have been linked together in the past, especially after working together on FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Lito Lapid already addressed these rumors late last year. He confirmed he’s still with his non-showbiz wife, and nothing romantic is going on between him and Lorna.

Still, fans noticed Lapid attending the wedding of Tolentino’s son, Renz Fernandez, in June 2024, which added to the speculation. But for those familiar with showbiz circles, it’s not unusual for former co-stars and longtime friends to show support during family milestones.

Lorna Tolentino was married to the late Rudy Fernandez, a beloved actor who passed away in 2008. Together, they had two sons, Renz and Rap.
