Jeraldine Blackman Shares Heart Condition Journey

Popular Filipino content creator Jeraldine Blackman, known for her relatable family content as part of the Blackman Family, recently opened up about her ongoing health challenges. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she shared details of her personal journey that began in 2022 with a surprising diagnosis involving her heart.

Jeraldine revealed that she was diagnosed with a rare condition called left ventricular septal aneurysm—a heart issue that explained the chest pains she had been experiencing on and off for about three years. What made the experience more difficult was how her symptoms were initially dismissed. She recounted two separate visits to the emergency room where her ECG and blood tests came back normal, and she was sent home despite her pain.

It wasn’t until she fainted at home, twice in one day, and was taken to a different hospital that doctors began taking a closer look. While she was being monitored, her ECG results raised red flags. Shortly after she left the hospital, a doctor called her back. Further tests, including an echocardiogram, finally revealed the 3.8 cm aneurysm in her heart’s left ventricle.

To confirm the findings, Jeraldine and her family consulted three cardiologists. Thankfully, she is now being monitored closely by a specialist and has since stabilized. Although she was once on medication, she shared that she no longer needs to take any at the moment. However, she emphasized that she will continue to be under heart monitoring for life.

Her health challenges don’t stop there. Jeraldine also shared that she is now dealing with gastrointestinal issues. After a recent check-up, doctors discovered 15 polyps in her colon. This, along with a gluten sensitivity caused by an autoimmune reaction, has forced her to make major lifestyle adjustments.

She now strictly avoids gluten and sticks to a specific diet. Even her daily coffee is always decaf, something her longtime viewers might have noticed in her vlogs. Despite everything, Jeraldine remains optimistic and faithful, trusting that healing will come in time.

She ended her post with a heartfelt reminder to her followers: “Hope you guys stay healthy because health is wealth.” It’s a strong message from someone who has learned firsthand just how precious health can be.
