If you've been keeping up with Incognito, you’ve probably noticed how the snowy streets of Japan are now the chilling battleground for the Kontraks’ latest mission. This new arc follows the team as they hunt down Kenji Lee, a highly trained assassin tied to a criminal network, and it’s no easy chase.
Portrayed by actor and stunt director Lance Pimentel, Kenji is the man suspected of the assassination of politician Benicio Avila. The Kontraks are tasked with capturing him alive to uncover the bigger players pulling the strings. But of course, things don’t go smoothly. Expect fierce resistance, explosive action, and an icy terrain that’s just as dangerous as the enemies they’re facing.
What sets these scenes apart is that the cast didn’t just pretend to be freezing; they actually shot during real snowstorms across Japan. Unlike other productions that might lean on green screens and special effects, Incognito went all in for authenticity.
Behind the camera, it was intense. According to behind-the-scenes clips shared on social media, the actors and crew endured harsh winter conditions, something very different from the tropical heat of the Philippines. Richard Gutierrez admitted that they weren’t used to that level of cold, and Kaila Estrada said it got so chilly her face went numb. Daniel Padilla stressed how serious the stunts were, saying it wasn’t just about looking cool in winter gear; they were really doing the work.
Even veterans like Ian Veneracion and Baron Geisler were impressed by how massive the “Nihon saga” portion of the show had become. And for Anthony Jennings, safety became top priority on those slippery, frozen streets.
Meanwhile, Maris Racal had her own challenge: blending in with both Filipino and Japanese crew while also delivering lines in Japanese. Her dedication shows in every scene.
But it’s not all action and chaos. There’s also a touch of romance starting to bloom amid the tension. Fans have noticed a sweet moment between JB and Max, and the mysterious dynamic between Greg and a new character, Misaki. What role she plays in all this is still a mystery, and we’re dying to find out more.
With snow-chased fight scenes, sword battles, and a layered plot full of secrets and sparks, Incognito just keeps leveling up.
