A Fresh Love Story to Watch: “Si Sol at si Luna” Trailer Unveiled
If you're into stories that mix love, heartbreak, and the real complications of age-gap relationships, you might want to check out the upcoming digital series Si Sol at si Luna. The teaser trailer just dropped, and it’s already drawing attention for its emotional tone and cinematic quality.
Zaijian Jaranilla and Jane Oineza, who both started as child actors, are stepping into bold new territory with this project. They play Sol, a film student struggling to finish his thesis, and Luna, a woman nursing a broken heart. Their worlds collide in unexpected ways, leading to a romance that challenges them both emotionally and mentally.
Directed by Dolly Dulu, known for The Boy Foretold by the Stars, this series was originally meant to be a film. It was pitched for the 2025 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival and even made it to the shortlist, but didn’t quite make the final cut. Despite that, the concept was too strong to ignore. Puregold saw its potential and gave it the green light as a digital series instead.
The trailer hints at a more mature, emotionally layered take on love, quite different from Puregold’s previous offerings like My Plantito and Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile. You can also expect striking visuals and intimate moments that push the boundaries of what we usually see on local streaming series.
According to director Dolly Dulu, she's thrilled that the show will be available on YouTube for free, making it accessible to more viewers. “This is Puregold’s first series that dives deep into emotional themes,” she said, clearly proud of the work.
Puregold’s senior marketing manager Ivy Hayagan-Piedad echoed the excitement, saying that great stories will always find their way to an audience, especially when they come from a place of honesty and creativity.
Set to premiere on May 31 at 7 PM on the Puregold Channel on YouTube, Si Sol at si Luna will release new episodes every Saturday. It’s the kind of show that feels both refreshing and grounded, a must-watch for anyone who enjoys real-life inspired storytelling.
