K-culture fans in the Philippines are in for a treat this May 2025, as some of South Korea’s biggest names in music and drama gear up for exciting visits packed with concerts and fan events.
The month begins with a high-energy performance from girl group NMIXX, who are set to light up the SMX Convention Center on May 2 with their “NMIXX Change Up: Mixx Lab” fan concert. It’s been almost two years since their last visit in June 2023, and Filipino fans can’t wait to welcome them back.
Just a week later, Xiumin of EXO will hold his “X Times ( )” fan concert at the New Frontier Theater on May 10. In a video message, he teased fun surprises and a stage he says was created just for his fans in the Philippines. It’s a return visit for Xiumin, who last came in 2024 for a Korean tourism event.
Things heat up even more on May 17 when G-Dragon, the iconic K-pop legend, returns to the Philippine Arena with his “Übermensch” concert. This is a huge deal for longtime fans, as it’s been almost eight years since his last performance in the country during the “Act III: M.O.T.T.E” world tour.
To close out the month, beloved actor Song Joong-ki will finally meet his Filipino fans face-to-face on May 24 at the Mall of Asia Arena. His event, “IAM Song Joong-ki: Live in Manila,” is his first live appearance in the country and is part of his collaboration with a local wellness brand. In a recent message, the Vincenzo and Reborn Rich star shared how excited he is to try authentic Filipino dishes and explore more of what Manila has to offer.
With a lineup this star-studded, May is shaping up to be a dream month for Filipino K-pop and K-drama fans. Whether you’re into the music, the drama, or both, there’s something special coming your way.
