Inigo Pascual Shares Scary Experience During L.A. Wildfires

When wildfires swept across Los Angeles earlier this year, Inigo Pascual’s family found themselves dangerously close to the flames. The Filipino actor-singer recently opened up about the frightening experience during an interview on TFC’s talk show BRGY with Bianca Gonzalez.

Inigo, who lives with his family in La Crescenta, near Pasadena, said they were stuck between two major wildfires. The nearest to their home was the Eaton Fire, one of the largest at the time.

The situation became even more stressful because Inigo wasn't in the country when it all happened. He was traveling in South America, while only his mother, grandfather, and their two cats were at home.

As soon as the fires made it on the news, Inigo’s mom didn’t wait for official evacuation orders. She decided to leave immediately, knowing how much harder it would be once the roads filled with people.

Being so far away, Inigo admitted it was hard to stay calm. His mind was filled with worry for his family, his pets, and their home. He found it difficult to focus on his activities abroad, checking his phone constantly for updates and monitoring the wildfire situation through an app.

The situation forced his mom and grandfather to evacuate twice, as the threat kept changing. Their area moved between orange and yellow alert zones, making everything uncertain and tense.

Fortunately, their home remained safe. Inigo shared how relieved he was but also showed compassion for neighbors who weren’t as lucky, especially elderly residents who lost homes they had lived in for decades.

Now that everything has settled down, Inigo feels grateful that his loved ones are safe and that their home was spared.
