Metro Manila Film Festival '07 announced the six official entries

For the MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) 2007, a total of 9 official entries were announced. Six of these films will be shown on December 25, 2007, while the remaining three entries will be released on January 1, 2008.

Here are the 6 film entries:

ENTENG KABISOTE 4. Part four na ang Enteng Kabisote series nina Vic Sotto and Kristine Hermosa from OctoArts Films and M-Zet Productions from the direction of Tony Y. Reyes.

Last year, ang part three ng pelikula na Enteng Kabisote: The Legend Goes On And On And On became the official topgrossing film kahit naungusan ito in the end ng Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo ng Star Cinema. Ang Enteng Kabisote rin ang nanalong Best Picture sa naging kontrobersiyal na criteria, kung saan ang topgrossing film ang ginawa ring Best Picture regardless of the film's merit.

The comedy-fantasy movie is based on the ‘90s sitcom noon nina Vic, Alice Dixson, and the late Charito Solis na Okay Ka, Fairy Ko. Nagawa ring series of movies noon ang sitcom using its original title at naging topgrossing din halos lahat. Four years ago, Vic reused the material and renamed the series Enteng Kabisote: The Legend of Okay Ka Fairy Ko.

SAKAL, SAKALI, SAKLOLO. Nagkaroon naman ng sequel ang dapat ay naging Best Picture last year na and also the unofficial topgrossing film Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo, but Star Cinema and writer-director Joey Reyes decided to use an altogether different title instead of putting the number 2 in the title.

Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo na ang Part Two still starring the pair of Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. The comedy romance movie will definitely bring back the original cast, lalo na si Ms. Gina Pareño who won the Best Supporting Actress trophy last year.

SHAKE, RATTLE & ROLL 9. Part 9 naman na ang Shake, Rattle & Roll (SRR) horror franchise ng Regal Films with a new set of directors and stars, still to be written by the in-house writing team ng Regal headed by Fairlane Raymundo.

Although, arguably, its most popular episode was the "Refrigerator" episode nina Janice de Belen and Ms. Charito Solis directed by the late Ishmael Bernal.

Nagpahinga ang SRR nang nagpalit ng milenyo but three years ago, it was revived with a Part 7 titled SRR Y2K. Hindi man naging ganoong ka-successful as it did not reach the top three sa box-office, bumawi naman ang Part 8 last year kung kaya't most of last year's stars and directors are part of this latest entry.

Episode One is "Christmas Tree" na pagbibidahan ni Manilyn Reynes to be directed by Topel Lee. Episode Two is "Bangungot" to be directed by last year's director of "LRT" na si Mike Tuviera. Episode Three is "Last Full Show" directed by Mike's brother-in-law na si Paul Daza. Nash Aguas of last year's "Yaya" episode and Matt Evans star.

BAHAY KUBO. First time namang magku-comedy for a festival entry si Maricel Soriano sa MAQ Production (Regal Entertainment) na Bahay Kubo written by RJ Nuevas and to directed by Joel Lamangan.

Bahay Kubo is a comedy about a mother with seven children, pero isa lang doon ang tunay niyang anak—the rest ay ampon. Makakasama ni Marya sa pelikula ang mostly GMA-7 young stars headed by Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado, and Yasmien Kurdi.

KATAS NG SAUDI. Comedy-drama naman ang panlaban ulit ni Lorna Tolentino sa Maverick Films movie na Katas Ng Saudi, written and directed by Joey Reyes ulit.

Also more known for her dramatic entries sa yearly festival like Mano Po 2,

RESIKLO. Another actor-senator returns to the festival with another big budgeted sci-fi movie-si Senator Bong Revilla who will star in Resiklo from Imus Productions, to be directed by Mark Reyes, pamangkin ni Direk Joey.

Action, adventure, at fantasy ang forte ni Bong sa yearly festival tulad ng Exodus, his last entry two years ago, at Agimat.
