TV network ABS-CBN is preparing to remake the hit 1980s drama series Flordeluna, originally starring Janice de Belen.
Among the thousands of child stars who auditioned, young actress Eliza Pineda was chosen to play the lead role in the new version, titled Maria Flordeluna.
The cast also includes notable stars such as Albert Martinez, Eula Valdez, and Vina Morales.
Kris Aquino was initially tapped to portray Flordeluna’s mother but had to decline due to her pregnancy.
