Shuvee Etrata Lands a Dream Photoshoot with BJ Pascual
Sometimes, opportunities really do come out of nowhere, and for Shuvee Etrata, this one feels straight out of a dream.
The rising star recently became the newest muse of celebrity photographer BJ Pascual, and the collaboration quickly caught attention online. What makes the story even more interesting is how it all started.
BJ shared that he first noticed Shuvee through her makeup artist’s social media posts. At the time, he had not been doing his well-known “Musings” shoots for a while due to a lack of inspiration. But something about Shuvee stood out to him right away. He described her look as fresh, natural, and proudly Filipino, which pushed him to reach out.
For Shuvee, everything happened so fast that it almost did not feel real. From being contacted to suddenly shooting in a large studio, the whole experience felt surreal to her.
The concept of the shoot added another layer of meaning. It was inspired by “Sabel,” the iconic muse created by BenCab. The theme highlighted Filipino identity, which matched Shuvee’s natural beauty and presence perfectly.
To complete the vision, the shoot featured designs by Rajo Laurel. Wearing the pieces made Shuvee both excited and nervous, knowing how special and delicate they were. She admitted to being extra careful during the shoot, but it also made the experience feel even more memorable.
BJ had nothing but good things to say about working with her. Even though it was their first time collaborating, he found Shuvee easy to work with and naturally confident in front of the camera. Her personality and professionalism made the entire shoot smooth and enjoyable.
