BINI’s Story Is Going Global with a Netflix Docuseries
Fans of BINI have something new to look forward to this April, and this time, it’s reaching a much bigger audience. A docuseries about the group is officially making its way to Netflix starting April 10.
The series was originally created by ABS-CBN News together with iWant Originals, and it takes a closer look at how BINI came to be. Instead of just focusing on their rise to fame, the show digs deeper into what happened behind the scenes, from their early auditions to the challenges they faced during the pandemic.
What makes this docuseries interesting is how it highlights both the highs and the struggles. It touches on personal issues, including mental health, while also showing how the group slowly found its place in the industry. Viewers can expect a more honest look at the journey, not just the polished performances people usually see.
The project was directed by filmmaker Jet Leyco, with writing by Jeff Canoy. A team of producers and editors also helped shape the story into a three-part series that feels both personal and cinematic.
Even before its global release, the docuseries has already received some recognition. Its first episode, titled “Born to Win,” was selected as a finalist at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards in 2025, under the documentary category for biographies and profiles.
The timing of the release also feels intentional. It arrives just as BINI prepares for a major milestone, performing at Coachella for the first time. Around the same period, the group is also rolling out their “Signals” EP, giving fans even more content to enjoy.
With its upcoming release on Netflix, the docuseries is set to reach viewers worldwide, except in a few regions. For longtime fans, it’s a chance to revisit the group’s story in a more detailed way. For new audiences, it might just be the perfect introduction to one of the Philippines’ rising pop acts.
