Superman Cast and Director James Gunn to Visit Manila this June!
Get ready, DC fans! The stars of the highly anticipated Superman movie are coming to Manila, and yes, it’s official!
Warner Bros. Pictures just confirmed that David Corenswet, who will suit up as the new Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan, who plays the ever-iconic Lois Lane, are headed to the Philippines on June 19. But that’s not all. Director James Gunn and DC Studios co-chair Peter Safran are flying in too!
The big four made the announcement through a short video shared on the film’s official social media pages, and Filipino fans couldn’t be more excited. Their Manila visit marks the first stop of their global tour before the film hits theaters on July 9.
The fan event will be held at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, and it’s expected to be packed with Pinoy moviegoers and superhero lovers. So if you’ve been waiting for a chance to see Superman up close, this is it!
The Superman film is based on the beloved comic All-Star Superman by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. It also serves as a fresh reboot of the Superman franchise and is the first major release under the new DC Universe, with James Gunn himself writing and directing.
Corenswet is stepping into the red cape as Clark Kent aka Superman, while Brosnahan plays the fearless reporter Lois Lane. Fans are hyped to see how this new version of the superhero story will unfold.
After Manila, the world tour continues with stops in Rio de Janeiro, London, Paris, Los Angeles, New York, and Beijing. But for now, all eyes are on the Philippines!
