BINI Charms U.S. Viewers in Morning Show Debut on ‘Good Day New York’
Filipino girl group BINI just hit another milestone in their rising global career. On June 2, they appeared live on the U.S. morning show Good Day New York, marking their official debut on American television.
This appearance is part of their very first world tour, where they’re also promoting their debut all-English album. The energy was high as they shared their experiences with American audiences, especially coming off a thrilling performance at Madison Square Garden Theater over the weekend.
During the interview, BINI’s leader Jhoanna shared how surreal it felt to be on such a big stage, especially with their fans cheering them on in person. “We’ve always felt the love of our supporters online, but seeing them and feeling their energy right in front of us, it’s something else,” she said.
Mikha, another member of the group, echoed those feelings, adding how proud she was to see Filipino fans come together overseas. “Seeing so many Filipinos united in one place made me proud to be Pinoy. It was heartwarming,” she said.
The group also took a moment to explain where their name comes from. Jhoanna revealed that "BINI" is short for Binibini, a Filipino word that means young lady. She explained that their goal is to represent the strength, beauty, and modern identity of young Filipinas while bringing Filipino music to the global stage.
Now with their world tour in full swing, BINI is more fired up than ever. They’re not just performing, they’re representing a culture, and they’re hoping to connect with even more fans as they continue their journey around the world.
