Ogie Diaz Spills Tea: Why He Didn’t Vote for Willie Revillame and Phillip Salvador!

Ay naku, mga ka-showbuzz! Ogie Diaz just dropped a juicy bomb during an interview on Christian Esguerra’s “Facts First” vlog. When asked about his thoughts on the recent elections, Ogie didn't hold back, especially when it came to his fellow showbiz personalities Willie Revillame and Phillip Salvador.

Even though they all came from the same glittery world of entertainment, Ogie made it very clear: he didn’t vote for Willie or Phillip. Bakit kamo? Because he didn’t like how they handled their campaigns.

“They forgot that the public is watching,” Ogie said. Oof. That one hit hard. He explained that even though they're in the same industry, he couldn't support candidates who didn’t present themselves well or offer clear, sensible platforms.

Ogie proudly shared that he voted for Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan, and was very happy they won. He also supported Erwin Tulfo, Heidi Mendoza, and Luke Espiritu. Iba talaga si Ogie, may paninindigan!

When asked directly if he supported Willie and Phillip, his answer was a firm no. “Sorry, but I didn’t like what they were saying,” he admitted, adding that their campaign styles just didn’t sit right with him. Parang wala raw direction at puro pasikat lang.

And here's the tea, Ogie admitted that part of his decision not to back Willie was influenced by their past drama. Remember when Willie went off on Ogie on air last year, throwing shade about utang na loob? Apparently, that still stings. Ogie said Willie was upset because he criticized him. But instead of addressing the criticism properly, Willie clapped back with emotional outbursts and vague answers about his plans as a public servant.

Ogie also reminded celebrities who want to enter politics: “Don’t rely on being funny. Show your brains too, not just your heart.” Boom!

As for Luis Manzano, who also tried his luck in the elections but didn’t make it, Ogie said he gave him some friendly advice: “Just stay in showbiz, where people cheer for you.” Awww. That's some tough love right there.
