He recently got the chance to chat with none other than Mission: Impossible lead Tom Cruise at the star-studded premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning in Seoul, South Korea.
Alden took to Instagram on May 8, 2025, to share a special moment from the event, a short video clip showing him having a one-on-one conversation with Tom right on the red carpet. The video didn’t include audio of their conversation, as it had music playing over it, but their body language told the story: Alden looked thrilled, Tom was attentive, and the two even shared a warm hug and a photo together.
What made the moment even more meaningful for Alden was the "Ethan" connection. In his hit films Hello, Love, Goodbye and the upcoming sequel Hello, Love, Again, Alden plays a character named Ethan. Coincidentally, Tom Cruise's iconic role in the Mission: Impossible franchise is also named Ethan, Ethan Hunt. Alden even captioned his post with, “Ethan meets Ethan... I have no words!” It was a full-circle moment that fans couldn’t help but celebrate with him.
