Abi Marquez Wins Big at 2025 World Influencers and Bloggers Awards in Cannes
Filipino food content creator Abi Marquez just scored another international win, this time at the prestigious World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA), held during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in France. Abi, widely known as the “Lumpia Queen,” was awarded Food Creator of the Year, adding another impressive title to her growing list of achievements.
She shared the happy news on Instagram, proudly posing with her trophy from the ceremony. Wearing a standout custom red terno by Filipino designer Jo Rubio, Abi turned heads not just for her award but for her fashion too. Her gown was playfully inspired by “Pinoy Spaghetti,” blending tradition with creativity, much like her content.
In her post, Abi reflected on how surreal it felt to be in Europe for the first time and be recognized alongside creators from around the world. She credited her team, supporters, and followers for helping her showcase Filipino cuisine on a global stage. For Abi, this win was not just personal; it was a victory for Filipino food culture.
This isn’t her first international recognition. In 2024, she became the first Filipino based in the Philippines to win a Webby Award, taking home the People’s Voice honor in the General Social: Food & Drink category. That same year, she was also nominated for a James Beard Media Award and earned a spot on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia list.
