Angel Locsin tearfully confirmed her break-up with Oyo Sotto during her launch as a celebrity endorser for Belo Medical Group on December 28.
When GMA-7’s Butch Francisco asked about the status of her relationship with Oyo, Angel was initially silent. But when asked, “Cool-off ba?” she shook her head slightly, and when asked if it was really over, she nodded and tearfully responded, “Ang hirap sagutin.”
Reports from GMA-7’s S-Files suggest two possible reasons for the break-up: Oyo’s alleged involvement with Enteng Kabisote 3 co-star Bing Loyzaga and Angel’s close relationship with her Asian Treasures co-star Robin Padilla.
The same report mentioned that Angel was hospitalized for depression on December 29 due to the emotional toll of the break-up. Her long-time manager, Becky Aguila, stepped in to support Angel during her recovery, with the two reportedly reconciling amid the difficult time.
As of now, Oyo has yet to comment on the situation.
