A Hollywood producer is reportedly interested in a Hollywood remake of Cesar Montano's Ligalig,

Cesar Montano revealed that a Hollywood producer has shown interest in remaking his film Ligalig, which he produced, directed, and starred in. The film, one of the official entries in the 2006 Metro Manila Film Festival, could become the second Filipino film to be remade in Hollywood, following Sigaw (The Echo), directed by Yam Laranas.

Cesar shared that he recently met with Lawrence Vender, the producer of From Dusk Till Dawn and The Great Raid, and showed him the trailer for Ligalig. Vender expressed interest but requested to see the full film. Cesar plans to send a director’s cut to Vender after finishing post-production. While nothing is finalized yet, Cesar expressed hope for a positive outcome and mentioned that if the Hollywood remake pushes through, he would like to be involved, either as a star or potentially as a director.

In addition, Cesar discussed the film's content, revealing a love scene with actress Gwen Garcia that involves nudity, which will be trimmed down to maintain a PG-13 rating for television broadcasts.

On a more personal note, Cesar was surprised by comments made by Borgy Manotoc during an interview on DJ Mo Twister’s radio program, where Borgy named him one of the “worst celebrity politicians” should he ever run for public office. Cesar responded sharply, stating, “I think the Marcoses are the worst politicians.”
