Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Star for All Seasons and Lipa City Mayor Vilma Santos are rumored to be running for senator in the 2007 elections.
Sharon has denied rumors that she is running for mayor of Pasay City, where her father once served as mayor. This has led to speculation that she may instead be aiming for a Senate seat.
As of now, there is no confirmation whether Vilma or Sharon will join the senatorial race, and both actresses have yet to deny or confirm the rumors.
