Jolina Magdangal's New Hair Style

They say saying goodbye is hard, even if it’s just to your hair, especially when it’s been your signature look for years.

“I felt sad,” Jolina Magdangal shared in a Funfare interview. “I’ve had long hair since I started in showbiz 17 years ago. Same length. I’d trim or style it a bit sometimes, but it always stayed long.”

This time, though, Jolina had 14 inches cut off by her favorite hairstylist, Alex from Propaganda Salon in Greenbelt, Makati. Alex has been helping her with different hair styles and colors over the years.

So, why the big change?

“It’s part of my constant makeover,” said Jolina with a smile. “It’s my new fashion statement.”

The haircut also comes just in time for her new projects: StarStruck The Next Level, a GMA reality talent show starting in December (with Dingdong Dantes as her co-host), and the second season of the GMA Sunday show Hoooo U? with Marvin Agustin. The first season was a big hit, so GMA decided to continue it.

Can she still pull off fun and creative styles with her new short hair?

“Just dare me!” Jolina laughed. “You know me, I’m always creative!”

Did she donate her hair to help clean up the oil spill in Guimaras?

“No,” she said. “I kept a small piece as a keepsake, then I let Alex throw the rest away.”
