Korina Sanchez, one of ABS-CBN's senior anchors, makes a comeback to late night newscast as the new anchor of Bandila. Bandila replaces Insider as ABS-CBN's late night (or early morning) newscast and will start on July 3, 2006. Bandila will air at 10:30PM. The same time of Pulso, Aksyon, Balita, Korina Sanchez and Ted Failon's previous newscast on ABS-CBN.Korina replaces Dong Puno and will be joined by Ces Drilon and Henry Omaga-Diaz.
“This marks Korina’s return to nightly news after nearly two years,” said Maria Ressa, senior vice president and head of News and Current Affairs.
Bandila will go head to head with GMA-7's entertainment shows. Reesa said that they're taking a risk, a calculated risk. Finally, someone realizes that people have work the other day! No more early morning current affairs news! Good job ABS-CBN! That's service to the Filipino people.
